An exhibition of paintings, drawings and photographs entitled "From Kungur to Gargilesse" has started at the Russian House of Science and Culture in Paris. Kungur, located in the Perm Territory, and Gargilesse-Dampierre in central France have been partners for many years, the Russian House reports on its website.

The initiative came from the French association Pour Kungur and was supported by the Russian side. The project was included in the program of the Cross Year of interregional cooperation between Russia and France.

The exposition includes works by professional artists and photographers, as well as drawings by students from Russian educational institutions, a French school and college. The Minister-Counselor of the Russian diplomatic mission in France, Alexander Zezyulin, the authors of the works from France attended the opening ceremony.

The head of the Russian House in Paris, Konstantin Volkov, said that the organizers of the exhibition are doing a lot to ensure that Russian children adopted by French families remember their roots and understand Russian culture.
