Research conducted in Argentina has proven the effectiveness of using Russian Sputnik Light in combination with other vaccines to fight against coronavirus and its mutations, including the ''delta'' strain, Kirill Dmitriev, head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) said, Interfax reports.

The interim results of the study indicate that the combination of the Russian vaccine and foreign drugs (AstraZeneca, Moderna, Sinopharm and CanSino) creates an increased immune response and is effective in the fight against coronavirus and its new strains. The study also suggests that the combination of the vaccines is safe for people.

Kirill Dmitriev noted that Sputnik Light proved to be a universal component in combination with other drugs. More than 1,100 volunteers were vaccinated during the study with one of 12 combinations. Two weeks after the jabs, all participants in the experiment had a high level of antibodies, no side effects were recorded.
