Russian-Italian duo performed romance songs in Hamburg

The famous Italian duo Luoghi Immaginari performed at the Russian Center of the Tchaikovsky House in Hamburg on October 22, 2021. The duo consists of Russian singer Elena Bakanova and Italian pianist Raffaele Mascolo. Together, they presented the ''Italy and Russia in Romance songs'' to the Hamburg audience. The concert dedicated to the vocal traditions of Russian and Italian composers featured works by Rossini, Donizetti, Glinka, Verdi and Tchaikovsky.


The Luoghi Immaginari duo was created by Elena Bakanova and Raffaele Mascolo in 2004. For several years the duo has been organizing the Luoghi Immaginari International Festival in Italy. In 2015, they released the Russian Songs album. In addition, the performers teach chamber music and vocals at various musical institutions in Italy, and regularly hold master classes.
