Russia and South Korea Mutual Exchange Year is concluded

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov called the relations between Russia and South Korea dynamic and progressive. The minister spoke at the closing ceremony of the Year of Mutual Exchanges between the two countries. The large-scale project was timed to coincide with the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations.

More than 200 events took place within the framework of the program. They were organized both online and offline. According to the minister, in a fairly short period of time, the countries have built a solid and broad system of bilateral interaction. Exhibitions, festivals, and performances of famous bands have proved that there is a growing interest in each other in both countries .

Lavrov called the opening of Russian Seasons an important event. Theater and ballet performances, art exhibitions will be brought to South Korea. The festival program includes tours of the Boris Eifman Ballet Theater, the Mariinsky Theater, the Vaganova Academy of Russian Ballet. The Tchaikovsky Symphony Orchestra, the New Russia Symphony Orchestra conducted by Yuri Bashmet and other bands are going to perform during the festival.

The year of exchanges made it possible to intensify scientific and educational contacts between leading universities and research centers, Lavrov noted.
