The Russian Ambassador to the United States Anatoly Antonov has called the Fort Ross Dialogue Forum a unique platform. The event took place the day before, the Russian Foreign Ministry writes on its Facebook page.

This year's forum became 10th in a row. It was held online because of the unfavorable epidemiological situation.

According to Antonov, 2021 has brought some improvements in relations between Moscow and Washington. This is evidenced by the extension of the START Treaty, a very eventful meeting of the Russian and American presidents in Geneva. In addition, the parties resumed dialogue on strategic stability and security in the cyber environment. This will prevent tensions from escalating into a real crisis.

Antonov is sure that these are only the first steps towards getting the relations between the two countries back to normal.  And Dialogue Fort Ross is able to make a great contribution to this process.
