Festival of Russian culture starts in Uganda

Concerts, a fair, master classes, folk games, tea drinking and other are were included in the program of the Festival of Russian Culture in Uganda. The festival is taking place on November 6 and 7, the website of the Moscow House of Compatriot reports.

The organizer of the forum is the Association of Russian-speaking women "Rosinka."

The Kaliningrad Regional Philharmonic Society is one of the guests of the festival. Its members are going to perform Russian romance songs of the 19th - 20th centuries. 

The festival is sponsored by companies founded by Russian emigrants. A live music concert, karaoke, a fair, a photo exhibition, as well as master classes for adults and children are scheduled for the first day. On the second day, folk amusements and games, tea drinking and an event dedicated to Russian cuisine will be held. The festival is working free of charge.

In July, the Youth Club of Compatriots was opened in Uganda. It brought together Russian-speaking residents of the country and representatives of the local population who study Russian and are interested in Russian culture.
