Singer from North Macedonia wins Grand Prix of Balkan Romansiada contest

The results of the Balkan Romansiada competition, which took place in Sofia, have been summed up, TASS reports. The performances of Russian, Bulgarian, Greek and Macedonian singers were evaluated by musicians from Russia and Bulgaria.

The jury was headed by Galina Preobrazhenskaya, director of the Moscow House of Romance. She recalled that the competition had existed in Bulgaria for nine years. Galina Preobrazhenskaya spoke very highly of the organizers' work. In her opinion, the Romansiada in Sofia is being held better and better every year.

In total, 22 people took part in the vocal competition. All of them were no older than 21 years old. Despite the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the Balkan Romansiada was held in offline.

Performers from North Macedonia were especially successful this year. Ten representatives of this country are among the winners.

The Grand Prix went to Mariana Burnaz-Kremosovski from North Macedonia. Prizes were also awarded to Greek, Russian, and Bulgarian performers.

The reward for the victory is the participation in the International Romance Song concert in Moscow.

The organizer of the competition is the Balkan Association of Russian Compatriots, the event is held with the support of the Russkiy Mir Foundation, Rossotrudnichestvo and the Moscow House of Romance. The main goal of the competition is to strengthen ties between Russia and the Balkan countries.
