The ''Dostoevsky. Life and Works" exhibition, timed to coincide with the 200th anniversary of the Russian writer, has kicked off in the Russian House in Trivandrum (India). The exposition is organized jointly by the Pushkin Center for the Russian Language, the Russkiy Mir Foundation and the Russian House in Trivandrum.

The exhibition includes more than 60 photographs: the writer's portraits in different periods of his life, photographs of his family members, historical places and buildings associated with his names, as well as photos of the monuments to Dostoevsky installed in Russia and abroad. Books by the renowned Russian classic translated into local languages also became part of the exhibition.

Famous Indian writers, students and teachers of local universities, as well as admirers of Dostoevsky's work visited the opening ceremony.

A collection of articles by famous Indian writers in the Malayalam language, dedicated to Dostoevsky, will released by the end of the exhibition.
