Aeroflot named world's most punctual airline for 3rd time in a row

The Russian Aeroflot airline tops the rating of the most punctual airlines around the world for three months in a row, TASS reports. The list is compiled by UK-based Cirium analytical firm.

According to the experts, the Russian air carrier made more than 90% of international flights on time. It is followed by LATAM Airlines Group and Delta Air Lines. United Airlines, Qatar Airways are also in top 5. Air France and American Airlines are in 6th and 7th places, respectively.

To compile the list, Cirium analysts tracked over 100,000 flights daily, and also used indicators from many other sources.

Aeroflot noted that the company was able to achieve significant success in punctuality due to strict adherence to the rules of boarding flights. To further improve the procedure, Aeroflot intends to use digital technologies in it, including biometric control.

Earlier, Aeroflot won the Best European Aviation Brand title at the European stage of the World Travel Awards.
