Tchaikovsky's ballet The Sleeping Beauty will be performed in Bahrain, TASS reports. The troupe of the Jacobson State Academic Ballet Theater is scheduled to take the stage of the Bahrain National Theater on Friday, November 12. The second performance will take place the next day.

The tickets for both performances were sold out.

The performance of the St. Petersburg troupe is timed to the celebrations dedicated to the anniversary of the theater. Its opening took place in the fall of 2012. The unique wood-trimmed interior of the theater is inspired by the Arabian fairy tales from ''A Thousand and One Nights'' book.

Earlier, it became known that the Bahraini authorities were planning to hold Days of Russian Culture. The theme of the Days of Russian Culture in Bahrain was discussed in early June on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. During the meeting of the adviser to the President of Russia Anton Kobyakov with the Foreign Minister of Bahrain, the parties confirmed the intention to hold the Days of Russia and noted the development of business and humanitarian relations.
