Reporters Without Borders (RSF) condemned Warsaw for the detention of RT France journalists in Poland, TASS reports. RSF called the actions of the Polish authorities "arbitrary".

''RSF condemns the arbitrary arrest of RTFrance reporters David Khalifa & Jordi Demory in the zone close to the Belarus border, while they were covering the migration crisis. Driven away by the police, they couldn't do their work as journalists.'' the organisation stated on Twitter.

The film crew of RT France was detained on November, 15. On the same day, a court hearing took place, where they were fined, accused of working in the emergency zone without permission and sentenced to a fine of about $ 300 for working in an emergency zone without permission.

RSF noted that the restrictions for journalists, imposed by the Polish authorities amid the migration crisis, are ''disproportionate'' and ''must be not just eased, but simply abandoned in the name of the right to information.''
