Russian sports drama named best at Sport Movies & TV international festival

The "On the Edge" movie directed by Eduard Bordukov has been named the best feature at the Sport Movies & TV award, TASS reports. 

The film is based on the real story of two Russian athletes - fencers Yana Yegoryan and Sophia Velikaya. They competed for the gold medal at the final of the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in 2016.

One more Russian film was recognized as the best in the documentary section. The award was given to "One for Five'' by Evgeny Bogatyrev and Elena Alferova. The film tells about Aleksander Lesun, a Belarusian-Russian  pentathlete. 

Sport Movies & TV is the most important international festival dedicated to sports television and movies. It is organized by the International Sports Film and Television Federation, which unites almost 120 countries.
