Honfleur (northern France) is hosting the 29th Russian Film Festival, which will be held November 23-28. More than 40 features will be screened in Russian with French subtitles, Russian Eyewitness reports.

The Honfleur Russian Film Festival has been held since 1995. The film forum is considered the city's brightest cultural event of the fall. This year, the forum resumes offline screenings. Unfortunately, the Russian delegation couldn't come to meet the viewers in person due to the COVID-19 restrictions. In previous years, up to 20 Russian filmmakers came to Honfleur.

The jury headed by Swiss actress and director Martha Keller will select the best of the eight films produced in the last two years.

The program includes a screening of Andrei Zaitsev's The Siege Diary, timed to coincide with the 80th anniversary of the beginning of the Leningrad Siege.
