The effectiveness of the Russian Sputnik V vaccine against the incidence of COVID-19 in Hungary was more than 85%. This is evidenced by the results of an independent study conducted in the country, TASS reports. In addition, Sputnik V's effectiveness against lethal cases reached 98%, which is the best for the vaccines used in the country.

According to the Russian Direct Investment Fund, the xperts compared five vaccines: Sputnik V, Astrazeneca, Sinopharm, Pfizer-Biontech and Moderna.

Sputnik V, together with Moderna, became leaders in terms of effectiveness against coronavirus.
