Russian compatriots in Qatar discussed joint projects with Samara Region

Cooperation of Russian emigrants living abroad with Russian regions became the main topic of the conference held by the Samara region and Qatar, the Compatriots in Qatar group writes on Facebook.

The forum was held online, the representatives of the Samara region authorities and the Coordinating Council of Compatriots took part in it.

One of the main issues was the promotion and popularization of the Russian language. The parties also agreed to expand contacts between Samara schoolchildren and students of the Rosinka Russian school in Qatar. Best specialists from Samara universities will deliver lectures to teachers of Russian who work in Qatar. 

Another important project will be cooperation between the Perekrestok teenage club in Qatar and young people of the Samara region.

The Russian participants also promised to collect a library of books in Russian for the pupils of the school in Qatar.
