Nutcracker starring Bolshoi Theater dancers premieres in Canada

The world premiere of the immersive show "The Nutcracker" based on the ballet by Pyotr Tchaikovsky with the participation of the Bolshoi Theater dancers took place in Canada, TASS reports. Over 10,000 tickets were sold in a week. In mid-December, the show will be brought to Russia.

The show is also to go on tour in the USA and Mexico. 

The live performance is combined with three-dimensional animation, the show takes place on large screens. The main roles are played by dancers of the Bolshoi Theater Denis Rodkin and Eleanor Sevenard. Rodkin noted that the show allows viewers to experience a different reality. His partner and him are happy to represent Russian ballet in a production that will be brought tp different countries of the world, the dancer added.
