Andrey Stenin Photo Contest opens call for applications

The Andrey Stenin photo contest has started accepting applications, Sputnik reports. Traditionally, the beginning is timed to coincide with December 22 - the birthday of the photographer who died in 2014 during the hostilities in the Donbass. The competition is being held for the 8th time, thousands of photographers from dozens of countries take part in it annually.

Photographers aged 18–33 can take part in the competition, applications can be submitted in Russian, English and Chinese. Applications can be sent until February 28, 2022.

According to the organizers, even the restrictions aimed at countering the pandemic did not force them to abandon the world tour of the works of the winners. The exposition is usually shown in the largest capitals of the world. The exhibition will be located, among other places, at the New York headquarters of the United Nations and at the Council of Europe in Strasbourg. It is planned that the winners' pictures will be seen by residents of almost all continents of the planet.
