The children's coronavirus vaccine is likely to be ten times less concentrated than the parent Sputnik V drug, TASS reports. According to head of the Gamaleya Center, Alexander Gintsburg, the documents to obtain permission for clinical trials has already been sent to the Ministry of Health.

The scientist explained that the name of the new drug has not yet been chosen. One of the variants is "Sputnik 2M".

Sputnik M, a coronavirus vaccine for adolescents, was previously registered in Russia. According to Denis Logunov, Deputy Head of the Gamaleya Center, where the drug was created, permission for use was received on November 24. He explained that the vaccine is desifned for children between the ages of 12 and 17.

The scientist specified that Sputnik V was diluted with saline five times for adolescents and ten times for the younger group. According to him, these doses of the Russian drug will be effective and safe for children.
