The Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Mauritius Konstantin Klimovsky handed over the documents telling about the Second World War to the head of the Association of Veterans of Mauritius. They will be exhibited at the museum of the two world wars, the Embassy of the Russian Federation writes on Facebook.

The museum will become part of the Natural History Museum in Port Louis. It was planned that the exposition would open a year ago, but due to the unfavorable epidemiological situation, the ceremony was postponed several times. It is now scheduled for the end of the year.

The exhibits were handed over to Mauritius by the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation as a gift from the Russian authorities to the government of the Republic of Mauritius.

The ambassador also handed over a large selection of photographs dedicated to the participation of Russia in the First and Second World Wars.

The Association thanked Russia for its assistance, regarding this gesture as another manifestation of the traditionally friendly relations between Russia and Mauritius.
