Restrictions aimed at preventing the spread of the coronavirus pandemic could not hinder the development of relations between Russia and Slovenia. According to Russian Ambassador Timur Eyvazov, residents of the two countries are very similar, TASS reports.

The diplomat noted that there is great interest in Russian culture in Slovenia. The popularity of the Russian language is growing in Slovenia, the Ambassador added. Eyvazov assured that the diplomatic mission is trying to promote this interest.

Of the events that took place in 2021, Timur Eyvazov singled out the annual ceremony at the Russian Chapel under the Vršić Pass. The event, he noted, was attended by the President of Slovenia Borut Pahor.
