The heads of Russia, the United States, Great Britain, China and France have declared the inadmissibility of a war between nuclear countries, the Kremlin website reports.

The joint statement of the states notes what they call their top priority and primary responsibility "preventing war between the states possessing nuclear weapons and reducing strategic risks."

The authors of the document remind that there can be no winners in a nuclear war. They emphasize that a nuclear war should never be unleashed.

In addition, the leaders of the five powers support the view on the need to prevent the proliferation of nuclear weapons.

Each country plans to maintain and strengthen national measures to prevent the unauthorized or unintentional use of nuclear weapons, the document says.

Russia, China, USA, Britain and France confirm that their nuclear weapons are not aimed at each other or at third countries.

Moscow, Beijing, Washington, London and Paris stand ready to work with all states to create a security environment more conducive to disarmament progress with the ultimate goal of creating a world free of nuclear weapons without compromising anyone’s security.

The parties are determined to conduct a constructive dialogue based on mutual respect and recognition of each other's security interests, the authors of the statement summarize.
