A Christmas concert of Russian music was held at the Catholic Church of the Franciscan Order in Damascus. Syrian Minister of Culture Lubanah Mshaweh listened to Christmas carols and Russian romance songs, TASS reports.

The minsiter was joined by the representatives of the Syrian parliament, foreign diplomats, employees of international organizations, including the UN, Orthodox clergy and Russian emigrants living in Syria.

The Gardenia Choir performed internationally renowned Christmas carols and classical Russian romance songs.
