Scientists have begun recruiting volunteers for clinical trials of a nasal COVID-19 vaccine, TASS reports. According to deputy head of the Gamaleya Center Denis Logunov, permission to conduct research has already been received.

Nasal and children's COVID-19 vaccines may become available this year. The Gamaleya Center also plans to conduct clinical trials of a drug that can protect against coronavirus and influenza.

One of those who tested the nasal vaccine was President Vladimir Putin. He was revaccinated against the coronavirus with Sputnik Light on November 21, after which he took the nasal drug.
