Russian figure skaters shine in winning European Championship

The Russian figure skating team have swept all major awards at the European Championships in Tallinn, repeating the success of the last championship, which took place in 2020. Russian figure skaters won nine medals and became winners in the team event, TASS reports.

Kamila Valieva became the best among women, in the men's solo competitions the victory went to Mark Kondratyuk. Among pairs, Anastasia Mishina and Alexander Gallyamov became the best in their categories, while Victoria Sinitsina and Nikita Katsalapov took the 1st place in ice dancing.

A number of Russian figure skaters received medals for second and third places, in the ladies's category and among sports pairs, they swept the entire podium. 

The head of the Russian Figure Skating Federation, Alexander Kogan, called the performance of the national team in Tallinn a significant confirmation of the international leadership of Russian figure skating.
