2nd Forum of Rectors of Russian and British Universities takes place in Moscow

Rectors of Russian and British universities are taking part in the forum, which started on Wednesday, January 26. The event is being held for the second time in a row, according to the website of the Russian Union of Rectors. It was timed to coincide with the Day of Russian Students, or Tatyana's Day, which is celebrated on January 25. The forum is taking place online.

The forum brings together leaders and representatives of the largest higher educational institutions of the two countries. The Russian delegation of our country is headed by the President of the Russian Union of Rectors, Rector of Lomonosov Moscow State University Viktor Sadovnichy. The British delegation is led by British Council Executive Director Scott McDonald.

The participants discuss the development of bilateral cooperation in the science and education. The focus is on increasing academic mobility, developing student and teacher exchanges between British and Russian universities. The parties are going to expand joint work within the framework of key areas of scientific research.

For the first time, the forum is holding a section for students and applicants.
