Russian-made trains to run in Buenos Aires

70 Russian Ivolga electric trains will be delivered to Argentina. They are going to run between Buenos Aires and nearby cities, RBC reports. 

The deliveries of the trains will begin in more than two years, the whole supply period will take about four years. The trains are produced by Transmashholding, which also supplies Serbia, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Lithuania, and Mongolia. The holding is capable of producing over 850 railcars annually.

The Ivolga electric train is used for intercity transportation. The estimated service life of trains is 40 years.

Earlier, Transmashholding signed a contract for the supply of 1,300 passenger cars to Egypt. Comfortable carriages equipped with air-conditioning systems and display board.
