Authorities of Mexican state provide free housing to Russian tourists

Russian tourists staying in the state of Quintana Roo can live in the region for free, TASS reports. The Russian embassy explained that they were able to reach an agreement with the regional authorities.

The number of Russian tourists in Mexico reaches600 people. This information is updated every day.

Russian diplomats noted that they are now organizing export flights from Turkey, Thailand, Egypt and other destinations popular with Russian tourists. The embassy stressed that the task of returning tourists from overseas is one of the priorities. The exact date of the export flight from Mexico is unknown.

The Russian Embassy highly appreciated the work of the authorities of Mexico and the state of Quintana Roo, aimed at helping the Russians. In particular, fines for exceeding the period of stay in the country have already been canceled for them. Mexican President Andres Manuel López Obrador said earlier that the authorities were not going to close the borders and the sky for citizens of other countries.
