Garden of Memory launched in Mali in honor of WW2 participants

"Garden of Memory" was laid in the Russian Embassy in Mali in honor of the Soviet soldiers who died during the Great Patriotic War. Seven trees were planted were planted on the territory of the embassy, according to the website of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The event was attended by Russian Ambassador to Mali Igor Gromyko, Russian military experts, Russians and students of an elementary school at the Russian Embassy.

On the eve of Victory Day, tree plantings as part of the Garden of Memory campaign took place in a number of countries. 300 trees were planted in Yerevan two years ago, on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. In early April, Algeria joined the action.
