11 countries, including Russia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and a number of CIS countries, condemned attempts to falsify the history of World War II. The corresponding statement of the permanent representatives of these states to the OSCE is timed to coincide with the anniversary of the victory in WWII, the website of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs reports.

In a published document, the permanent representatives protest against the demolition and desecration of monuments to soldiers who died fighting the Nazis. The permanent representatives also condemned attempts to justify and glorify Nazi criminals and deny their guilt.

The statement emphasizes that the decisions of the International Military Tribunal in Nuremberg, which condemned the Nazis, cannot be overruled. The authors of the statement called on the world to preserve the memory of those who fought against Nazism so that it could not be resurrected.

The representatives of Russia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan signed the statement.
