Students of the Russian-Brazilian intercultural school are going to watch "Unknown Stalingrad" documentary, which tells about one of the key battles of the Great Patriotic War - the Battle of Stalingrad. The screening is dedicated to the 77th anniversary of the Great Victory, the TV BRICS website reports.

The premiere took place on the Brazilian TV channel two years ago. The head of the school in Rio de Janeiro, Deniz Alves da Silva, spoke about the importance of such events, since they allow schoolchildren to get to know the history of Russia and learn about memorable dates in its history.

Russian language teacher Lucas Rubio stressed that the film would tell children about the struggle waged against fascism by Russia and Brazil, and that the close ties between the peoples of the two countries have long roots. The teacher clarified that during the Second World War, Brazilian troops liberated Italian cities. According to him, the film about Stalingrad is important for all BRICS countries.
