The Unity Songs concert, known in Russia as "Songs of Victory", took place last weekend in Buenos Aires, TASS reports. Russian singers took to the stage of the Gran Rivadavia Theatre. The Turetsky Choir and the Soprano art group performed military songs, excerpts from world opera classics, international pop hits and folk songs.

Argentina became the first point on the route of the Turetsky Choir's tour of the countries of South America. Brazil and Uruguay are scheduled to become next destinations for the singers.

According to Mikhail Turetsky, founder and artistic director of the band, this is the first time they are visiting Latin America. He has no doubt that the performance will serve as the start of strong friendly ties that will connect Russian performers and Argentinean audience. Turetsky explained that such concerts have the ability to break the strongest ice of mistrust.

Turetsky added that the inhabitants of Latin American countries are very musical. Turetsky's choir will definitely visit other countries of the region, he noted.
