The interest is still high in the Hermitage expositions abroad. According to the head of the museum, Mikhail Piotrovsky, it is proved by the demand for online products developed by the museum staff over the past two years, TASS reports.

Piotrovsky confirmed that the political situation did not affect the popularity of the Hermitage projects on the internet. Moreover, the museum plans to expand its presence online in foreign languages.

During the coronavirus pandemic, the Hermitage has developed a line of digital products. The museum created its own television, thanks to which viewers from different continents can follow museum tours and broadcasts of various events.

Earlier, the Hermitage Museum announced a moratorium on holding exhibitions in European countries, but this does not apply to friendly states. In particular, a large-scale project is being prepared with Chinese partners.
