Russian-Chinese festival of physical culture and sports takes place in Harbin

The Russian-Chinese festival of physical culture and sports started the day before, on July, 20, in Harbin, China, TASS reports. The festival will last for three days, festival venues have opened not only in Harbin, but also in  Daqing and Yichun. The sports festival is organized by the authorities of the northeastern Chinese province of Heilongjiang and the Russian Consulate General in Harbin.

The festival is an integral part of the Years of Cooperation between Russia and China in the field of physical culture and sports. The large-scale forum is dedicated to the 25th century anniversary of the start of the work of the Russian-Chinese Committee for Friendship, Peace and Development.

According to Russian Consul General Vladimir Oshchepkov, the festival in Harbin will become an additional incentive for further development and strengthening of cooperation between the two states. The diplomat has no doubts that the sports forum will be one of the brightest and most memorable events held within the framework of the Years.
