A Ukrainian attacked Russians in the Paris underground after hearing the Russian speech. The French police saved the women from beating. A video showing how gendarmes take away an angry Ukrainian went viral on the Internet, Ren TV reports.

During the attack, a distraught passenger on the subway tried to punch the Russian women in the face, swearing in Ukrainian. The man was dragged away from the Russians by a policeman. After the incident, the girl said that law enforcement officers escorted the Russians around the turnstiles, repeating in French that ''Russians are strength.''

Russians living abroad are subjected to attacks, harassment and various forms of discrimination; in some cases, local authorities do not respond to such crimes. Most often, owners and employees of shops and restaurants associated with Russia and Russian cuisine suffer from these attacks. According to the Russian Foreign Ministry, the US authorities refuse to investigate cases of attacks on compatriots.
