Orthodox believers in Australia and New Zealand donated liturgical vessels and vestments to the parishes in Madagascar belonging to the Patriarchal Exarchate of Africa, established by the Russian Orthodox Church (RPU). Assistance to the Orthodox on the African island will continue, according to the website of the Moscow Patriarchate.

The parishes of Madagascar received a shipment weighing about 90 kilograms. In mid-August, the next batch of church utensils will be sent to the island.

The Exarchate in Madagascar thanked Metropolitan Leonid of Klin, cleric of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia Archpriest Vladimir Boikov from Auckland, New Zealand, Archpriest Andrey Novikov from Moscow, and others involved for their help and assistance.

Since the end of last year, when the Exarchate of the Russian Orthodox Church in Africa was established, the number of clerics in it has doubled. It was noted that after the appearance of the representation of the ROC on the continent, more than 100 clergy wished to transfer to the bosom of the Moscow Patriarchate.
