The popular Russian film "Ice-2" about the fate of a hockey player was screened in Nicosia as part of a street festival of Russian cinema in Cyprus.

On August 9, the festival will continue on the waterfront in Limassol, viewers will see the sports drama "On the Edge", the Russian House telegram channel reports.

On August 10, the closing of the festival will take place in Aya Napa. The audience will see a documentary about the picturesque places of Cyprus and the "Elsa's Land" drama, which tells the story of the devoted love of two elderly people.

Russian cultural events still remain popular with the inhabitants of Cyprus. In July, a holiday was held there in honor of the Russian Day of Family, Love and Fidelity. Relay races, games, competitions, master classes and other events were held for the guests.

On the Day of Russia, compatriots organized a motor rally in Cyprus, a concert, and a fair with Russian treats. In Nicosia, the municipality building and the square were painted in the colors of the Russian flag for the holiday.
