Iran invited Russia to make films and organise festivals together

Deputy Minister of Culture of Russia Alla Manilova and Deputy Minister of Culture and Islamic Orientation of Iran Mohammad Khazai discussed the expansion of cooperation in museums and cinematography. Tehran made a proposal on joint film production, TASS reports.

The meeting was held in Moscow during the visit of the Iranian delegation to the ministry. Manilova called the museum business and cinematography the main areas of cooperation. The Russian ministry noted that the Iranian delegation made proposals to expand cooperation in a number of areas.

Iran expressed interest in sponsoring films for the younger generation, organizing film festivals and film forums in Russia and Iran, holding master classes, exchanging specialists, and joint film production.

Mohammad Khazai called it important for Iran to hold events related to the development of cinematography in the cities of the Caspian region.
