On August 28–29 2016 in Moscow, upon an initiative of the Russkiy Mir Foundation, World Forum “In Unity with Russia” was held; Russian citizens, compatriots, living abroad, took part in it. On August 29, Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev met the Forum participants. Over a hundred new non-commercial organisations created by people with Russian background emerged in the USA during five previous years. The new diaspora is pragmatic and has a feeling of belonging to the country of origin. Round-table discussion at the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation was dedicated to saving and spreading the Russian language, Russian history and culture in the USA by the Russian diaspora.

Compatriots Club has recently started working at the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation.
