Medvedev to Speak at Russkiy Mir Assembly

The Sixth Assembly of the Russkiy Mir Foundation is opening in Moscow on Saturday.

The participants in the Assembly will take part in discussions about the role of the Russian Language and the history of the Russian state.

Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev will address the participants on the first day of the Assembly’s work.

The program of the two-day event also includes a display of badges and medals and a book fair.

The Assembly of the Russkiy Mir Foundation was set up to consolidate efforts of Russian compatriots abroad in popularizing Russian language, culture, history and philosophy.
