Russian civil and war aircraft models to be presented at Paris Air Show in Le Bourget

17.03.2017

parisdigest.com Russian companies will present their aircrafts at one of the most popular annual air shows in Le Bourget, France, RIA Novosti reports. The show will be arranged for the fifty-second time this year. According to the official representative of Federal Service for Military, Technical cooperation Maria Vorobyeva, the guests of the show are welcome to get acquainted with civil as well as war models.

Russia used to participate at Farnborough International Air Show. Our country was allowed to show only civil aircrafts a year ago. The reason of the limited participation status was deterioration of relations with Western countries after the Ukrainian conflict in 2014, and the imposed sanctions against Russian defence companies.

The first demonstration of airplanes took place in Paris in 1908 as a part of Air Show. Russia introduced the passenger aircraft ANT-35 for the first time at Paris Air Show in 1936. The USSR was regularly appearing at Le Bourget Air Show beginning from 1957. The presence of Russian Federation aircrafts on this air show started in 1993.
