13 courses of Saint Petersburg State University available online

Open Education platform offers to sign up for 13 courses offered by Saint-Petersburg State University. They are published with free access for everybody, university press-service has advised to the Russkiy Mir Foundation.

In order to pass a course, a person must sign up for it first. After that, listeners will get access to all the materials. Students can study them and pass midcourse and final works at any convenient time.

The new format of on-line courses helps avoiding usual issues the students faced before such as certain time of lectures’ start, limitations to open new modules, strict terms of passing works. As a result, those who passed assignments on time had to wait for a long time to get new tasks, and the other way round, people who were slow doing the assignments did not have sufficient time to send their answers.

Now students can control speed and frequency of studying, which does not influence an opportunity to get a certificate.

Enrollment for the first 13 courses is to open on July 10. The list of courses is to extend later.
