Five gold medals were won by Russians in the summer sports European championship

On summer sports championship Russian national team has already added to it's collection five medals of the highest merit in Glasgow, Scotland, TASS reports. 

The Russian sportsmen became winners in a final heat of the European rowing championship. The tournament takes place for the first time within the continental summer sports championship.

Gold medals in a heat of the four vierer without helmsman were won by Ekaterina Potapova, Anastasia Tikhanova, Ekaterina Sevastyanova and Elena Oryabinskaya. They have passed a distance in six minutes and nearly forty seconds. After them the Romanian team finished, on the third place there were representatives of Poland. 

The Russian cycle racer Darya Shmelyova has won a gold medal in individual track sprint. In the final the Russian has gained a victory over the compatriot Anastasia Voynova. Also Russians have risen on podium's top step of a podium in men's swimming relay.
