Aeroflot has been called the most punctual airline in the world in 2019. For the eleventh time, the rating was compiled by Cirium company, TASS reports.

Experts analyzed 290 thousand flights that the Russian air carrier made in 2019. It turned out that 86.6% of them were completed on time. This figure is higher than that of all other carriers in many countries.

The top-3 also includes the Japanese ANA with an indicator of 86.26% and American carrier Delta Air Lines with 85.69%.

The head of Cirium, Jeremy Bowen, said that Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport was the world leader in on-time performance. During the reporting period, 95.01% of flights departed on time, the average delay time did not exceed fifteen minutes. The airports, which took the second and the third place, showed much worse results: departures were delayed for 58 and 55 minutes, 92.5% and 91% of flights departed on time.

Russkiy Mir reported that in June Aeroflot received the Skytrax World Airline Awards. It has been recognized as the Best Airline of Eastern Europe for the eighth time.
