Tourists from more than a dozen countries arrived in Ulan-Ude, TASS reports. They travel to the city by Zarengold train, which name translates as "Royal Gold".

About a hundred tourists from Canada, France, Australia, Germany, Britain, Japan and other countries went on a Winter's Tale trip, which started in the Russian capital on February 23.

Foreign tourists have already visited Irkutsk, Krasnoyarsk, Yekaterinburg. Now they will get acquainted with the traditional customs and culture of the peoples living in Buryatia. They will try the Buryat national dish - buuzy, and visit the center of Buddhism in Russia - Ivolginsky datsan.

One of the organizers of the route is the German company Lernidee Erlebnisreisen GmbН. According to its head Nurlan Mukash, the main objective of the project is to show foreigners a “Russian winter fairy tale” so that travelers get the impression of visiting cities in Central Russia, Siberia and the Far East.

The head of the Far East Investment Promotion and Export Support Agency Leonid Petukhov has no doubt that the project will allow the development of tourism in this region. The route program includes excursions to local attractions, visits to museums and theaters.
