Slovak schoolchildren learn about famous Russian museums

On May 21, 2020, an online lesson dedicated to International Museum Day was held for students of grade 8 of the Kamenitsa's main school (Slovakia). The holiday is celebrated annually on May 18 in many countries of the world, since 1977.

The methodologist of the Russian Center in Presov Gabriela Turisova told schoolchildren about the most famous museums of St. Petersburg and Moscow - the Hermitage, the Kunstkamera and the Russian Museum, the State Historical Museum, the Tretyakov Gallery, the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts, the Cosmonautics Museum and the Victory Museum. The children listened with interest and got acquainted with some exhibits of museums, including paintings by Russian artists.

In addition to Russian museums, the participants also discussed other world-famous museums: the Louvre, Prado, Madame Tussauds wax museum, as well as the unique Slovak Pushkin Literary Museum, which is located in Brodzyany.

A quiz was held at the end of the lesson.
