The program to stimulate domestic travel was supported by all regions of the country, RIA Novosti reports. According to Zarina Doguzova, head of Rostourism, local authorities have expressed a strong desire to join this program. The state is going to allocate approximately $200 million to support the tourism sector. The funds are intended to reimburse expenses for people who will rest at home in 2020.

The maximum cashback amount is $200. It will be received by tourists who paid more than $1,000 for the voucher, and provided that the tour lasted at least five days. Compensation for tourists who decide to spend their vacation in Russia will be charged provided that the vacation is paid for with a Mir card.

It was decided not to limit the offers for Russians, so that they have the greatest possible choice of routes for travel. It is planned that residents of the country will be able to choose from two million trips from Vladivostok to Kaliningrad, from Astrakhan to Murmansk. The department develops directions to make them as interesting and varied as possible. The Association of Tour Operators explained that the start of the program was scheduled for August. About three million people can apply for it. The payment period will be from five minutes to five days from the date of payment for the tour.
