The results of the Golden Province international theater festival were summed up in Penza the day before, TASS reports. The winner of the foreign program was the "And Judas Came" production by the "Russian Stage" from Germany. The performance is based on the works of Leonid Andreev.

The program of the foreign program united solo performances that were shown online. Another award went to "My Little Oscar" of the Zhas Sakhna theater from Alma-Ata.

12 theaters from different countries were going to come to the cultural forum. The unfavorable epidemiological situation prevented these plans. According to the organizers, they wanted the audience to get acquainted with the work of foreign groups, so it was decided to combine the performances into one block and show them online. It is difficult to show performances of large forms in theater halls, and the organizers limited themselves to one-man performances.

The Grand Prix of the festival went to the Perm theater "At the Bridge". It was noted for the performance of Sergei Fedotov's "Stepmother Samanishvili" based on the story of the same name by David Kldiashvili. It tells the story of an impoverished Georgian nobleman who is about to marry a second time.

The forum was held in the region for the 9th time.
