Another Russian coronavirus vaccine will go into circulation this year, TASS reports. Rospotrebnazdor promised that EpiVacCorona will be available no later than December.

To date, 25,000 doses of the drug have already been released. This figure will double next month.

The EpiVacCorona vaccine, made on the basis of peptide antigens, was registered by the Vector center from Novosibirsk in mid-October. The Chumakov Center for Research and Development of Immunobiological Preparations continues the work on yet another vaccine.

The existence of several vaccines against coronavirus provides doctors with "the opportunity to maneuver," said Anna Popova, head of Rospotrebnadzor. Physicians can use whichever vaccine is best for the patient in each case.
