Alumni Ball of Alexander Nevsky Russian School held in Sydney

The traditional Alumni Ball of the Alexander Nevsky Russian School in Sydney was held in full-time format, despite the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Schoolchildren, their parents, Russian diplomats and friends of the school, which is considered the largest Russian educational institution in Sydney, took part in the event, the Edinenie Russian newspaper reports.

The guests of the ball were Russian Ambassador to Australia Alexei Pavlovsky, Russian Consul General in Sydney Igor Arzhaev, as well as the head of the Federation of Ethnic Schools of New South Wales Lucia Jones, representatives of other schools in the city.\

As expected, the participants of the ball danced waltz and Russian dances to the accompaniment of live music, and performed songs in Russian. Graduates spoke about the most memorable lessons. For some, it was watching Russian films, for others - theater classes.
