The festival dedicated to the Year of Science and Technology in Russia kicked off at the Rossotrudnichestvo office in Trivandrum, the agency's website reports. It will continue throughout the year. The scientific marathon began with a seminar, the main topic of which was the prospects for bilateral cooperation between Russia and India in the field of science and technology.

Due to the unfavorable epidemiological situation, the seminar combined two formats at once. The number of people in the audience was limited, but everyone could connect to it online.

The speakers noted that Russian science had always been one of the world's flagships. Russia not only conducts deep fundamental research and develops new technologies, but also provides assistance to friendly countries. One of the clearest examples of this was the interaction between Russia and India in the spheres of space exploration and the development of nuclear energy.

The seminar also praised Russia's activities aimed at combating the pandemic.

The participants were introduced to the calendar of events included in the program of the Year of Science and Technology in Russia. One of the key goals will be to intensify scientific and technological cooperation between the two countries.
